Today we’ve got a little bit of an absinthe tasting and we’re doing it based on a great opportunity from Absinthes.com and their Absinthexplore product offering. They sent us a sample of their service, a 3-pack of Absinthe Sampler–vials measuring 50ml that have the product name printed on the glass. The vials are kinda cool in their own right, but less on that and more on what you’re getting.
Starting at USD $31.50, they allow you to choose from their absinthe library of liquids and build out a 3-pack sampler then ship it over to you in a cool black box complete with sugar cubes and absinthe spoon. If the options are too limitless you can also opt to buy one of their pre-built selections Absinthe Eichelberger set (for $36.50) which contains three Eichelberger absinthe variants.
If a 3-pack sampler is too small, you can spend a bit more (like $71) for a 6-pack sampler. Again, select them yourself or get a pre-built setup (like a six pack of Verte absinthe brands). Absinthes.com is genius in breaking a huge absinthe barrier for new consumers of the product because a bottle of Absinthe is usually going to run between USD $40 and USD $60 and that’s before shipping! Some absinthe’s I’ve purchased have run me USD $120 by the time it arrived at my house. Having the ability to sample a few products before having to lay down the cash makes it a very favorable concept indeed.
