The Root Beer Foam Cocktail

Tasting Notes: Initial taste and aroma of a root beer float with a finish that kicks you in the face.

The Root Beer Foam, no matter how many times I call it a “float” the taste reflects that of vanilla ice cream and MUG root beer. Float or foam, the first few sips may give off its secret alcohol finish but it gets easier to drink as you sip. Scary. The meaning of the phrase “ice cream” varies from one country to another. Phrases such as “frozen custard”, “frozen yogurt”, “sorbet”, “gelato” and others are used to distinguish different varieties and styles. In some countries, such as the United States, the phrase “ice cream” applies only to a specific variety, and most governments regulate the commercial use of the various terms according to the relative quantities of the main ingredients.
