Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Review

Tasting Notes: Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon brings sweet bright oak flavor, warming brown sugar, caramel with a nice mouth feel with a light strike of bite near the finish.

Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Review, yeah, we’re doing it because of a recent conversation in our Forty Creek review. Going back through my archive I realized I never did review Maker’s Mark but I’ve been using it and suggesting it for awhile now. So, now we can call it reviewed!

This bourbon brings a bit more potency in the bottle, at 45% ABV, yet it barely hints at it in the finish. There is your classic bourbon bite near the finish that’s rounded out by the smooth lightly sweet oak flavor. Maker’s Mark is the Kentucky Straight Bourbon that’s always consistent and always brings great feelings of back woods oak cabins. The flavors will carry through a cocktail creation as well, making Maker’s Mark a good baseline for many great bourbon cocktail creations.

How do you drink your Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon? Straight up? In a cocktail like a whiskey sour?
