Tasting Notes: Start of maraschino liqueur, a middle of light sweetness that finishes with a bit more maraschino that’s not extremely overwhelming–thankfully.
A cocktail out of Smugglers Cove in San Francisco, a viewer submitted this one. You really have to enjoy the flavor profile of Maraschino Liqueur to be 100% on board with this cocktail. It is definitely something you want to taste to expand your cocktail palate however, make sure you use a good Whiskey Rocks Glass too!
While this cocktail calls specifically for Ron Abuelo Anejo I’m positive you can use your favorite rum (amber or even aged) to get something out of this drink.
Recipe:
- 2 oz. Ron Abuelo Anejo
- 1/2 oz. Lime Juice
- 1/2 oz. Cinnamon Simple Syrup
- 1/4 oz. Creme de Cassis
- 1/4 oz. Maraschino Liqueur
