Today we’re making the busted pipe, whiskey amaro cocktail and we’re using a high proof bourbon and Amaro Nonino. It’s pretty simple, anyone with ingredients can make this 2-component drink recipe.
The Busted Pipe is a simple “build in glass” drink that only contains a bourbon (whiskey) and amaro nonino. You can try other amari but it may simply change the name to something else. We are using Knob Creek 120 for this drink as a higher proof bourbon is fun to sip when adding other ingredients, even as little as one other ingredient.
Also, no bitters, so you have a very easy drink recipe here. But, bitters are awesome, so keep them handy for the future.
Busted Pipe
1 ½ oz. Amaro Nonino
1 ½ oz. bourbon
1 luxardo cherry
1 lemon twist
