Scrappy’s Spicy Bloody Mary Contest: Day 2

Day 2 of our bloody mary contest, today we taste test five more bloody mary recipe designs from spicy to slightly spicy with a variety of different ingredients and a few key spirits. These drinks are all about the effort, those that take a big effort have a big taste. But, how much effort do you want to put into your bloody mary? No, wait, we’ll decide!

Dragon Mary

2 oz Byejoe Dragon Fire
4 oz Tomato Juice
2 dashes Tobasco Sauce
4 dashes Scrappy’s Firewater Bitters
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
2 dashes Scrappy’s Celery Bitters
1 pinch Ground Black Pepper
1 pinch Smoked Paprika
Celery Salt
Lemon Wedge
Lime Wedge

Preparation:
Pour some celery salt onto a small plate or rimming dish.
Rub the juicy side of the lemon or lime wedge along the lip of a pint glass.
Roll the outer edge of the glass in celery salt until fully coated.
Fill with ice and set aside.

Squeeze the lemon and lime wedges into a shaker and drop them in.
Add the remaining ingredients into a shaker filled with ice.
Shake gently and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a celery stalk and a lime wedge.

2oz UV Sriracha
3oz Tomato Juice
1oz Water
1/4 tsp of Black Pepper
2 dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
3-4 dashes of Louisiana Hot Sauce
4 dashes of Scrappy’s Celery Bitters
4 dashes of Scrappy’s Firewater Bitters

Shake/Strain.

Spicy Bloody Mary

24 oz tomato juice
6 oz vodka
1 lemon
1 lime
dash of pickle juice
3 dashes of worcestershire sauce
garlic (to taste) — about half a spoonfull
1 tablespoon horseradish
4-8 dashes firewater (to taste)
4 dashes celery bitters
several cracks of fresh black pepper
couple cracks of salt
dash of onion powder

Garnish with
pickled vegetables (the more the merrier)
single slice of bacon (bacon grease flavor adds to the drink)

Scrappy’s Spicy Bloody Mary

2 oz Bakon Vodka
1 tsp of HouseRadish
4 Dashes Worcestershire sauce
5 Dashes of Soy Sauce
4 Dashes Tabasco
1/2 tsp of Garlic Salt
1/2 Tbsp of Red Pepper Flakes
1 Tbsp Sweet BBQ Sauce (I used Sweet Baby Rays)
5 dashes of Celery Bitters
5 dashes of Firewater Bitters
Juice from 1/2 a Lemon
4 oz of Tomato Juice or V8 (prefer V8)

Combine all ingredients in blender with enough ice to thicken it up
Blend
Serve in glass with core of celery stick, olives, and a lime

Scrappy’s Spicy Bloody Mary

2 ounces Vodka
1 1/2 stalks celery (chopped)
1 clove garlic (chopped fine)
1/2 ounce lime juice
5 dashes firewater bitters

Muddle all that together then strain the pulpy bits out.

Throw it in a glass!

Add 6 ounces tomato juice
1 ounce pepperoncini brine
2 ounce light beer
3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
3 dashes Celery bitters
sprinkle celery salt & ground black pepper

stir / garnish with green onion stalk
