How To Make The Sidecar Cocktail

Today we build an established classic cocktail in The Sidecar. Indeed this cocktail is designed based on the name of a motorcycle side seater. However, the cocktail defines itself beyond just its name, but its citrus-forward brandy / cognac flavor. Tart citrus, sweet citrus all wrapped in oak, that’s the most basic way one can describe the sidecar.

If you are looking for a good excuse to use cognac or brandy in a cocktail (or need to kill off an old bottle), this drink is probably one of the best to highlight that product along side a basic yet citrusy flavorful cocktail.
