Tasting Notes: Dark, sweet black jellybean without a whole lot of cognac flavor.

One thing you have to know about absinthe, when it’s included in a cocktail it can easily dominate the drink to the point of only tasting the fennel/anisette flavors and nothing else. I can’t quite argue that it doesn’t happen in this drink, but at least you feel better about not drinking straight absinthe…

Recipe:

  • 1 oz. Absinthe
  • 1 oz. Cognac
