Bar Tools, Our Video Explaining Them All

I’ve been talking about this for a long time and I finally got all the parts I needed to show off a fairly extensive bar tools episode. We’ll bust through some fairly desired and needed bar tools like the cocktail shaker to the swizzle stick, zester, lime squeeze, sodastream carbonator, strainers, jiggers and all the other fun stuff you can find for cocktail making.

Not all is required, but I tried to find a bunch of stuff to show off so you had an idea of what was out there on the market. Check out UberBarTools for some of the products seen in this show. Also, checkout the SodaStream to carbonate your own beverages as home.

This was an excellent podcast! Especially since I am in the process of enclosing part of my back porch to make a Cantina/Bar. 🙂

I especially like your device for carbonation! I drink a lot of gin and tonics and have a difficult time keeping good tonic water in stock. I like Schwepps, but the local Albertsons has a tendency to run out. Not their fault I’m told.

Also, I will send you a photo of a really nice measuring cup/jigger we found at the local gourmet shop. Invaluable tool for mixing in my opinion. Measures 1/2oz, 1oz, 1.5oz, and 2oz, all in one nice little container.

    Keep up the good work!

Yes, the SodaStream is definitely a top-notch product and great if you burn through carbonated products like I do and you apparently do. You can make just enough for what you need w/o opening big bottles that potentially go flat over time.

Plus, it’s a bit cheaper on the wallet over time.

Hey, is it weird that I had a dream about being in your house with all the alcoholic beverages and such? Anyway, weirdness aside; how big is your ice container? And what make etc is it? Also, how do you make your ice, just with regular plastic/rubber ice moulds? How long would the ice bucket keep the ice “ice” for in a fairly hot room (such as your attic). Thanks Schommerson!

My ice container is “this big…” um, I have no idea 🙂 I don’t know the brand either, I think I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond in New Hampshire or something.

How do I make my own ice? great question, here you go: https://commonmancocktails.com/2012/06/23/ice-n-easy-ice-maker-review/

The ice keeps in the bucket for over an hour and a half, I’ve never sat down and timed it, but I know some of our tapings went 1.5 hours and the ice was still useful.

Ahh, thanks for that ^^ As per the video’s question, I’d rather spend $210 on more alcohol than an icemaker, but there ya go ^^ Rubber moulds for me it is then! Thanks for the reply, also may be a bit off topic, but when/where do you normally stream? And can I get a notification whenever you are? (or in advance) Thanks! (for the 3rd time)
