How To Make The High Man Shooter

Tasting Notes: Super sweet attack with a sinus cleaning peppermint that may even water your eyes if you “fill” it high enough.

We are finding a use for the maraschino cherry juice from the bottle of cherries with this simple cherry popping flavor explosion. The recipe: 1/2 oz. Maraschino Cherry Juice, 1 Maraschino Cherry, Top with Peppermint Schnapps.

 Recipe:

  • 1/2 oz. Maraschino Cherry Juice
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry
  • Top with Peppermint Schnapps

I just tried this shooter right after I watched this episode and I can say that I liked it. The peppermint isn’t too overbearing because of the concentrated degree of the syrup. Good shooter overall. As for the drink name question, honestly, I feel like it should be named something that can be chanted and enjoyed without seeming like you need your mouth washed out with soap. As a fellow drink connoisseur, I can appreciate genuine, fun, and accurate names of cocktails and shooters. Cheers!

I think funny cocktail names could be great to sell more and more shots at student bars. Its may be fun to ask the bartender for a ” blowjob ” 🙂
Having shots is not a serious thing so I think you can give dirty names to your recipes, unless you are at a luxury hotel bar.

Looked like a fun shot but I am not really big into the super sweet shots so I’m leary of this recipe, anyway….

Qotd: I’m a of both minds on the naming of drinks. I do think the needlessly vulgar name thing can be overdone but I have no compuction about saying the dirty name either and if that’s what it tastes like so be it. But I could see where it’s something you might want to be careful about.
