Today we’re going to show you how to make the gimlet, and we’re going to create the classic gimlet using a few different methods, one with Rose’s, one with a DIY lime cordial, and the standard juice-based gimlet.

We have both our base recipe and liquor.com’s recipe which only adds a half ounce of gin to it, so it may be a bit more boozy. Here is ours: https://recipe.awesomedrinks.com/recipe/gin-gimlet/
We create one with Rose’s Lime Cordial because that’s what the traditional “classic” recipe would have used, but we’re guessing it was before High Fructose Corn Syrup was “a thing” and they had to use real cane sugar.

– 2 oz Gin
– 1 oz Rose’s Lime Cordial / Morganthaler Cordial
Morganthaler’s Cordial Recipe
250g sugar
8 oz/240 ml hot water
1½ oz/45 ml fresh lime juice (measured by volume)
1½ oz/45 ml freshly grated lime peel (measured by volume)
1 oz/30 ml citric acid (measured by volume)
