How To Make The Gibson Cocktail

Tasting Notes: Pretty close flavor to that of a gin martini but with an onion garnish. While we have had a gibson at a bar recently that tasted like a sub shop, a non “dirty” gibson should be more like gin and less like onion.

This is Doug’s favorite cocktail, he orders it wherever he goes. Why? He likes the “accoutrements”; the ability to have a little onion snack while drinking his gin. The rest of us? We’re not so sure, but the onions are pretty tasty so there is that benefit!

Recipe:

  • 2 1/2 oz. Gin
  • Dry Vermouth Rinse
  • 1 – 3 cocktail onions
