How To Make The Black Swan

Tasting Notes: Sweet coffee and cream flavor, with a nice punch to the finish which fades pretty quickly. No real bitter flavor to this coffee flavored cocktail/shooter. A minor absinthe aftertaste.

Pousse Cafe denotes a layered shooter and today’s black swan is no exception. We’ve got our first use of Araku coffee liqueur which is a rum and coffee blend so that is pretty exciting too that falls into the realm of Kahlua but may be just a bit sweeter, we may need to do a side-by-side on that one.

 Recipe:

  • 3/4 oz Araku Coffee Liqueur
  • 3/4 oz Coole Swan Irish Cream
  • 1/8 oz Absinthe
