Exploration Series: A Bitter History Part II, Bittered Brands

In part two of our bitters history we focus mainly on the brands themselves, their history and a bit of the taste of some of their more flagship products. You’ll learn what started Bittermens, the struggle Fee had through Prohibition and understand just how bitter Adam’s Boker’s Bitters really can become on your tongue.

While we don’t touch on every single small batch bitter and commercial bitter company we do touch on everything dating back from the days of Angostura and Peychaud bitters through Berg & Hauck, Regan’s Orange No 6, Adam Elmegirab, Bittermens, Bittercube and even Scrappy’s bitters and the brand known as “Bitters, Old Men.”

We show off the kickstarter brand that became a business by the name of Hella Bitters and a few brands launched around the same time like Dutchs Bitters and the single big bottle of Stirrings Blood Orange bitters. We also represent with Wigle, Bob’s bitters and a few others.
