https://daccordshirts.com/j8b9q1z Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur is my first chance to taste the flavor of an agave nectar in the form of a liqueur. I must say, the complexity of such a product goes far above that of a standard agave nectar syrup that I use for my margaritas and such cocktail creations. Initially, I was tricked by the aroma of this beautiful light gold spirit, I got a huge nose of reposado tequila and some nice sweetness. I understand that Mariposa has 100% de Agave Tequila as part of its recipe but the nose was speaking nothing more than “I am all about tequila baby!”
https://www.lifesatomato.com/2023/01/31/luvs5nwMy initial sip was surprising–the fact that the tequila flavor really didn’t come through like it did on the nose. Like I stated in the tasting notes, the orange came through very easy for me as I’m a big orange fruit and orange juice fan but this orange was a bit more of a blossom floral scent. Then, after seeing some tasting notes from Mariposa’s tasting notes did I get the very dominante juniper.

Yes, there was a definite juniper mid-palate transition all wrapped in a nice agave nectar sweetness. The body is light and not too over-the-top with thick and heavy viscosity like some more United Stated based schnapps products. This is definitely a liqueur as one should imagine it.

Mariposa has created a very beautiful spirit that will extend many great cocktails especially that of a margarita. I suggest you bust out a margarita and use Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur instead of an orange liqueur.
