The concept of Bitters & Smoke is to take a few ingredients that have some bitter and a key mezcal ingredient for your smoke. This is a straight up spirit forward drink so it’s not for the weak at heart. One of these for the experience is probably best and then move onto other tequila or mezcal based drinks.

Bitters & Smoke
– 1 oz tequila
– 1 oz cynar
– 1/2 oz Fernet Branca
– 1/2 oz Mezcal
– Garnish Grapefruit Peel (don’t got one)

You’ve gotta like a bit of smoke (by way of mezcal) and a bitter hint to your cocktails by way of cynar and a little fernet branca. This cocktail recipe, known as the Bitters & Smoke, is no doubt a creation of a bartender. This has all the recipe ingredients bartenders favor and fits into a tequila based drink having both mezcal and tequila as components.
