I got this recipe today and wanted to share, I’ll keep the text as is because it’s well written and really makes you think “Spring.” I don’t know about everyone else, but I can’t wait for Spring to be here and get rid of this gray cold weather:
As March draws to a close, there’s no way to celebrate the much-anticipated return of Spring than with a cocktail! Using fresh ingredients like cucumber and lemon, the Hudson Cup is a juxtaposition of winter fire flavor and fresh vegetables to help kickstart your Spring! The mixture of Bourbon and Averna Limoni will create a refreshing warmth, just like Spring itself! Topped with Ginger Ale, this luxurious cocktail is a real treat to keep you cool into summer!
The Hudson Cup, by the Tippling Brothers
2 oz Tuthilltown 4 Grain Bourbon
.75 oz Averna Limoni
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
2 1″ by 1″ chunks of cucumber
3 oz. ginger ale
Muddle cucumber in a shaker. Add all other ingredients, except ginger ale. Add ice. Shake well. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with cucumber wheel and mint sprig.
