The Gold Rush is a “Bourbon Sour” using honey as your sweetener, which gives it a slight more rich and flavorful taste that’s a bit more complex than a traditional whiskey sour. This also will fit a bit more into a spring seasonal lineup vs. a traditional whiskey sour that people often reserve for fall and winter.

Gold Rush
2.0 oz Bourbon Whiskey
0.75 oz Fresh lemon juice
0.75 oz Honey Syrup / Mix

The Gold Rush is the perfect balance of sweet & sour with the honey complexity and the fun of bourbon for more of a spring time recipe design. It’s close to spring and we are ready to cheer up with more fruit and sweet! Not that the gold rush is a sweet drink, but that honey gets ya!
