Tasting Notes: A roller coaster of flavors! Everything from a citrus sweet starting flavor, orange zest bite, mild vanilla a brandy finish followed by a secondary Drambuie finish a few seconds later. Overall, light and refreshing.
What make’s it old school? All spirit components are older than you are (most likely) and thus it’s the “old” school drink. Senior Curacao (1896) Drambuie (1893) , Brandy (12th century), Tuaca (1938), 7-up (1929), and angostura bitters (1824). Just beware, this light and refreshing cocktail has a lot of great flavor but no juices to build the volume… it’s all alcohol.
Recipe:
- 1/2 oz. Senior Curacao
- 1/2 oz. Drambuie
- 1 oz. Brandy
- 1 oz. Tuaca
- 4 oz. 7UP
- 2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters.
