The Jet Pilot is similar to that of a Zombie, but has a much more interesting flavor that lands on the slight side of sweet. The sweet flavor profile allows us to not get too in the weeds with the potent rums that are being applied. So, instead of giving you a punch in the face you get a level of smooth fruit tiki flavor with herbs and spices, but fail to walk straight after.

The Jet Pilot
1 oz dark Jamaican rum (like Appleton Estate)
3/4 oz gold Puerto Rican rum (like Don Q)
3/4 oz 151-proof Demerara rum (like Lemon Hart 151)
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 oz cinnamon syrup
1/2 oz falernum (a spiced Caribbean syrup)
1 dash Angostura bitters
6 drops of Pernod (or another anise-flavored liqueur)
Crushed ice
