This cocktail, named la Louisiane, is no doubt a twist on the manhattan or perhaps the sazerac or maybe it’s just a blend of both concepts in one drink.
When you bring Benedictine into the situation, you get some nice sweeter notes, some herbal flavor and a very flavorful cocktail. This drink is good “once a night” because there are so many vibrant flavors playing in your mouth in this balanced craft cocktail.
Remember, there is no sugars involved in this outside the liqueurs being used but this is primarily an alcohol-forward drink, so beware!
