Tasting Notes: Bourbon, lots of lovely buttery bourbon flavor with subtle cassis but only around the mid-palate as a mild sweet. Bourbon to start, “red wine” like cassis with an oak finish that lingers thanks to the Devil’s Cut.
A BOURBON COCKTAIL! YEAH! Sorry, too much screaming. We’ve got the Devil’s Cut for this cocktail, it’s got lots of oak because it’s the opposite of the Angel’s Share! This is a little bit of a layered cocktail because the grenadine sits at the bottom until the end of the drink. To love this drink you have to like bourbon, you have to enjoy some flavors of cassis and you definitely have to be able to take a potent cocktail.
