Today we bring in our cherished Havana Club to build a recipe designed for the brand, so much so it’s trademarked: Culto a la Vida. It’s not really a complicated cocktail to build and has the added benefit of being a really flavorful cocktail even if we don’t have the exact proper “7 Años” year of Havana Club.
We were surprised how a basic cranberry juice cocktail, a glorified cape codder, could have so much more effective a flavor than a vodka cocktail. Granted, vodka is boring and so its cocktails will taste more like juice (or amped up juice), but the dark rich flavor notes of the aged Havana Club product does indeed give it the character this cocktail deserves.
