Fabrizia Limoncello, Blood Orange & Italian Margarita Review

Long title, I know, but we are reviewing three bottles from Fabrizia today including Limoncello, Blood Orange Liqueur and Italian Margarita. These three products, made by Fabrizia is made here in New Hampshire, right down the road.

While we have found a great use for Limoncello (including sipping on ice), the Blood Orange product really got our attention as it’s much more unique to the market than a limoncello. However, in the end, the limoncello really drew the attention of our pallet as a pleasing sweet yet citrus liqueur.

The Blood Orange product was still a great feature, having a bit more of an orange flavor (of course) vs. that of a lemon. By itself, it would be a great flavorful addition to the bar, but if you have to choose between the limoncello or blood orange, the limoncello just felt more desirable on the tongue, but it may just be a mood thing.

A cocktail with their blood orange may be a bit more interesting than simply limoncello because there are so many other ingredients (such as fresh lemon) that can simulate the lemon citrus forward flavor with some sweet. But Blood Orange? Just not as common.

They also sent over their Italian Margarita which was a sweeter margarita flavor with a lemon-forward citrus. Derrick is a bit more influenced by the lime-driven flavor in a margarita but some do like the lemon instead. It’s definitely different, and has a bright agave flavor to it, as long as you can work your flavorful taste buds aligned in a lemon-centric fashion. Great for fast building of a cocktail just as those guests blast through the door all at the same time.

There you go, three Fabrizia products to consider for your bar.
