Today Derrick and Antonin pull out six bottles of cognac and examine their flavors in a blind tasting to figure out what the different flavor profiles offer.
We have, on hand, Hennessy V.S., Martell V.S., Pierre Ferrand Ambre, Pierre Ferrand 1840, Courvoisier V.S. and Pierre Ferrand Reserve brands of Cognac.
During the tasting you’ll learn a bit about some of the regions of cognac, some of the proper ways to say some of the brands by Antonin who is indeed from France. Along side this, you’ll understand a bit on what Antonin has learned in tasting cognacs and categorizing flavors.
For those TLDR and TLDW / We found Martell surprisingly tasty along side thinking Pierre Ferrand Reserve would work well in a sidecar cocktail. And, the Courvoisier V.S. was a bit hot on alcohol, probably best mixed with a more complicated cocktail.
