Today we review Bivi Sicilian Vodka. As we stated in this video, we don’t go out of our way to review every vodka on the market as most taste like…well…vodka. However, if a company believes they have a stand-out vodka and send it over, we want to know, does it stand out?
Bivi Vodka comes in around the mid-$20 range, which is a fair price for a vodka as most vodka’s do tend to have a bit of a neutral-flavor to them and you can only ask so much of a product that’s goal is to not have sugars and flavorings in it. The real test of a good vodka, for us, is both the price vs. the ethanol factor. Add to this, can you get a bit of a flavorful aroma or any nuances in the distillate that you can taste in the final product.
Bivi Vodka doesn’t have a very exciting nose, however, but it does offer a crisp and clean taste profile that’s both medium-bodied and smooth around the edges. You’ll not get a real big “burn factor” out of the flavor nor will it leave you feeling like you just drank straight up alcohol. It is priced in a range where you don’t feel too guilty using the product to “boost” the non-alcoholic nature of a mixer or in addition to vodka-based cocktails.
You can indeed drink it straight, if that’s how you roll.
