How do you compare to the loudest burp and the longest tongue when breaking Guinness Records? How about dragging 3,163 people though the biggest pub crawl in the world? Yeah, that’s a lot of drinking and crawling through New York City; that’s the goal of the Pub Crawl.
Nothing shows the desire for people to shake off the ugly economic news and financial bailouts like gathering 5,000 plus people and hitting the streets in Saint Paddy’s day green, only 3,163 of said participants made the entire circuit — it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it. In a three day pub crawling extravaganza on March 14th, 15th and 17th the participants crawled through over 100 bars walking over 5-miles and partying the entire way. A sight to be seen, no doubt.
Eddie Miller founded pubcrawls.com so he could sell tickets for all the pub crawling events, after helping build the event over 10 years ago. While they used to crawl three or four bars, they’re now much larger and require a better organized event, thus the website was built. Now, they’re crawling pubs for Saint Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween and others.
If you’re in the NYC area you may want to watch pubcrawls.com for their next event and see how you can do in a Guinness World Record breaking group of people with one goal in mind: hit as many bars as you can with as many people as you can and party the night away. Sure, you can strive for the loudest burp… or you can strive to crawl the pubs, what would you do?
