We, at everyday drinkers, have a special place in our hearts for Averna branded beverages, mostly in the realm of after dinner drinks. I’ve found their Sambuca styles to be top shelf and their Limoni Di Sicilia to be every so perfectly sweet and real it’s hard to put them in the same category as other contenders. They definitely take it to a higher art form than most and it seems the rewards are in the works.

Traditional Averna, New Averna Products Win Across the Board At
International Spirits Contest
New York, NY, March 20, 2008 – Averna’s after-dinner drinks, or digestivos, were winners in every category entered at this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The traditional favorite, Averna Amaro (www.avernausa.com), was presented a Gold Medal while new releases Averna Sambuca got Double Gold, Averna Sambuca Licorice Silver, and Averna Limoni Bronze. The judging for this year’s competition was completed on March 16th.
