War of The Roses, a cocktail by Mike Ryan head bartender of Sable Kitchen & Bar, Chicago. The minute we saw this and the Pimm’s No. 1 liqueur was included, we knew it was something worth investigating.
Let’s face it, outside of the Pimm’s Cup, what else uses Pimm’s No. 1. There isn’t enough cocktail designs for this trendy herbal and fruit liqueur so War of the Roses was just the design we wanted and the test was well balanced and contains a pretty dry finish. Drink PImm’s straight and you know where that dry-flavor originates.
Plus, it contains “bartender’s ketchup” in the use of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur!
