Today we deconstruct the greyhound with seven vodka’s and blind taste to see if we can figure out which vodka is which buried within the confines of a cocktail.
The vodka’s on deck: Hammer & Sickle Vodka, Titos Vodka, Ocean Vodkay, Gilbey’s Vodka, Corbin Vodka, Glacier Vodka and Ciroc Vodka.
The goal today is to build the Greyhound cocktail and see if any vodka has an impact on the taste. This is a simple cocktail with a good amount of vodka in the ratio so if you should be able to taste one brand over another in a cocktail then this should do it!
The argument is that Ciroc is going to taste better in juice because it’s based on grapes. The second argument I’ve heard is just that the brand of vodka makes a difference in a cocktail. The third mention was that Hammer & Sickle was the best vodka on the planet so it should naturally stand out and blow away the competition in this line up. Can it?
