Today we’re going to make you a valentine’s day cocktail called the Gin Campari Sour. Sure, it’s a bit sour and bitter but it’s vanentine’s day color and can be fun for experienced cocktail crafters.
Of course, it’s got campari. Did I mention it has compari? Yeah, Derrick’s favorite bitter alcohol strikes again! This time, on Valentine’s day.

The gin campari sour is a fairly elegant use of bitter campari balanced against the sour lemon all with a flavorful gin body. The bitter isn’t up-front yet it brings a great pink color with a lingering bitter bite in the back-end that even a campari hater may not dislike entirely.
This cocktail recipe fits for valentines day if you need an excuse but it works as an all-around fine cocktail for any season. Especially for the gin lovers or those that need more excuses to use their bottle of campari.
Gin Campari Sour:
– 1 1⁄2 oz. gin
– 3⁄4 oz. campari
– 3⁄4 oz. fresh lemon juice
– 1⁄2 oz. simple syrup
– 1 egg white
– 1 dash orange bitters
– 1 small orange wedge, to garnish
