October 6, 2012 at 12:41 pmGlad you did the Zombie, going to make the version you submitted tonight.
I also recommend the Zombie recipe from 1934 (featuring falernum and a mix of cinnamon-simple syrup).
They are selling Lemonhart overproof rum’s again (yey!) so you can almost go back to the authentic taste 🙂
As well, maybe something for a Common man in the future.. make your own falernum?

October 7, 2012 at 10:41 amRose’s doesnt come close to Grenadine, it’s red colored sugar syrup. Monin’s Pomegranate is the stuff I use.

October 7, 2012 at 10:52 amI almost got Monin’s Pomegranate, but I was buying some Fee Brothers stuff so I figured I’d add that to cart first. The problem is, Roses’s makes a much better Shirley temple where real pomegranate makes a much better everything else 🙂 I don’t think I have Beachbum Berry’s books, but I saw the Zombie he did….didn’t really care to make cinnamon infused simple syrup and I’m not a fan of grapefruit 🙂 I wanted this recipe to be more “Common Man” that others can do, even though it had a lot more ingredients.
Eventually, I want to make all the zombie recipes that are out there. I did do one back in March 2009 but it didn’t make it onto youtube for some reason.
