The classic cocktail known as the Martinez came in two variants, the original utilizing old-tom gin as Jerry Thomas would make it, and the updated revision with more accessible and popular ingredients.
Which is better? We make both to see what fits are fancy. You might be surprised. This was definitely an enjoyable experience and a good use of our Vya Vermouth both Dry and Sweet. And, having Old Tom Gin just sitting around is a travesty.
