An unusual drink with a slightly unusual name. this cocktail comes out of an older book, Savoy style, contains sherry (not unusual for older cocktails) but something is just not…right. Perhaps the sherry isn’t what the original utilized, but it sure does seem like a toothpaste and orange juice moment.
That being said, perhaps you can try this at home with a few different sherry alternatives (if you’re a sherry drinker) to see what the flavor profile changes look like–but it’s not our favorite drink. The gin is pretty forward as is the alcohol, the flavor potency with some herbal flavors.
