When you bring amaretto into a drink you’re almost always going to win, however, when you bring Bourbon into a drink you’re going to almost always have a good time. So, the combination is a winner, with a dash of orange bitters and some club soda to lighten it up. This is a good bourbon cocktail for those that don’t know how well they’ll like bourbon.
Fall, Winter, or Summer nights, depending on your preference. The author says this is a winter drink outside (so we assume the south), for us in the north, perhaps a summer night drink.
Italian Girlfriend:
– 2 oz Bourbon
– 1 oz Amaretto
– 4 dashes Orange Bitters
– Splash of Club Soda
