It is time to appreciate the luau for what it is, pork and pineapple. How so? We have Bakon Vodka up in the hizzy. First, to fully appreciate this cocktail you should checkout our video Bakon Vodka review (I’ve not written a full text review yet) and then watch this video. The key to understanding Bakon Vodka is knowing that, alone, it’s not the most desirable stand-alone spirit. While it brings smokey and peppery flavors, the aroma can be a bit more than one can handle; a bit intimidating if you will…
But, in a cocktail? Bakon Vodka really steals the show in the Hawaiian Luau recipe because it allows your palate to taste a nice smokey pork flavor with the pineapple which pairs really well and does give you the impression of a Hawaiian party with pork.
Recipe: 1 1/2 oz Bakon Vodka, 3 oz Pineapple Juice, 1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps

December 7, 2011 at 4:47 amIf I could get Bakon Vodka in the state I live, you bet I’d buy it. Maybe the next time I head to Vegas I’ll be able to find it (though, my last trip yielded no Coole Swan, which you’d think it would be something you could find in Vegas, but I couldn’t find it).
