The demerara dry float contains a demerara rum with a float of overproof 151 rum on top of it (which we also chose a demerara rum in the form of LemonHart 151). A worthy tiki drink to try, it won’t blow your face off with potency but it is a bit sour with some sweet/tart flavor.
Plus, it looks pretty cool as all tiki drinks should look! Like summer time cocktails with tiki style, then get to making the Demerara Dry Float recipe. You’ll find this drink highlights passion fruit syrup (we use Liber & Co because it’s awesome) and ends up having a sweet & tart flavor profile much like a sour patch kid (right dan?) Yeah!!
Demerara Dry Float
– 1 oz Demerara rum
– 1/4 oz 151 Demerara Rum
– 1/4 oz Maraschino Liqueur
– 2 1/2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
– 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
– 1 1/2 oz passion fruit syrup
– 1/4 oz simple syrup
