What happens when you bring SKYY citrus infusion vodka to the party with Heering Cherry Liqueur? It seems the Heering can scream louder and bring more attention. In other words, this cocktail is good, but it only has light hints (if that) of citrus action but really brings the brown sugar and black cherry like flavor to the forefront. I think the coke is there just to bring the carbonated body but it doesn’t yell out on its own either.
In any case, I loved it. Jennifer wasn’t a huge fan.
Recipe: 2 oz Citrus Vodka, 1 1/2 oz Cherry Liqueur, 4 oz Coke

December 2, 2011 at 4:44 amI have a few soda cocktails I enjoy, Moscow Mule being a favorite. I’ve also found that ‘girly’ liqueurs like X-Rated, Hypnotic, or Ty-Ku’s citrus liqueur are lovely, light, and quite refreshing on the rocks and topped with club soda. I’d say about 10-20% of the cocktails I make for myself have some sort of carbonation added.
