Bernards Cocktail, we are not sure who Bernard is but someone tell him we got his cocktail! This recipe shows off the ability to create a sambuca cocktail that isn’t overloaded with sambuca intensity.
The real issue was, would orange and sambuca go together in a cocktail? Could those two taste combinations work well together? Turns out, they work well together. Nice mild sambuca flavor, orange juice with nice muted sweetness but very little coconut taste.
Recipe: 1 oz Sambuca, 1 oz Coconut Rum, 1 oz Vodka, 1/2 oz Grenadine, 4 oz Orange Juice. See the full instructions on mixdrinkipedia.com.
Question of the Day: How many people are sambuca fans and, do you have a favorite sambuca brand?

December 9, 2011 at 3:11 pmI like the Ramazotti, but in Montreal, it’s the only kind you can get really.
Sambucca straight up isn’t my thing (or ouzo, arak, anisette, perneau, etc.), but it mixes well with OJ, vanilla and cinnamon.

December 9, 2011 at 3:15 pmYeah, I can’t say I often sit down and drink straight sambucca either. Although, once or twice in a social setting at a bar when one guy screams “buca shots!!!” But, I chalk that up to peer pressure. 🙂
