Tasting Notes: A mild sweet attack with a nice sour bite in the finish.
Also known as Sweet and Sour mix because it contains both sweet and sour properties. The most highly requested recipe in our library of recipes and we’ve never done it. Why? Because we didn’t realize how important it was until now. So many of our fans have been writing in lately asking us how we make our sour mix so here it is complete and finished. Now you can make your sour mix like us, or improve/change the recipe from here on out. Some folks have also said they use a bit of orange juice (fresh squeezed) for some added sweetness and dynamic flavors.
Recipe:
- 1 Lemon (approx. 1-1.5 oz.)
- 1 Lime (approx 1 oz.)
- 2 oz. Simple Syrup

November 11, 2012 at 2:16 amA weird thing I do to add a nice touch to my mix is to add just a tad of fresh Agave Nectar (I can get it here easily). Adds a bit of flavor that I think is just right for a whiskey sour and even margaritas. Might send you guys some.
