Why make a single Cuba Libre when you can make nine Cuba Libres! The traditional American rum & coke converted into a Cube Libre by adding… a slice of lime. Yeah, one slice of lime and a bit of its juice and you’ve changed the basic bar cocktail into a forbidden gem created in the town of Havana Cuba.
While we have not been allowed to experience a true Cuba Libre in many years (due to the lack of Cuban rum and the lack of cocaine in coke anymore) you sure can come close! Today, Bacardi isn’t created in Cuba but once upon a time the Cuban rum Bacardi Gold was said to be used by a US military man in Havana to create a rum and coke.
