Let’s show you how to make the Harvey Wallbanger, a cocktail once known as Duke’s Screwdriver, in partnership with the folks at Prairie Vodka #PrairieOrganic — a cocktail with more flavor than a standard screwdriver.
The Harvey Wallbanger, utilizing Prairie Organic Vodka is a historically significant cocktail build created by campion mixologist Donato “Duke” Antone. His original cocktail name was the Duke’s Screwdriver, given it was a take on the screwdriver, but the inclusion of Galliano gave it a new spin and eventually it was renamed to the Harvey Wallbanger.
While we’re showing you how to make a harvey wallbanger, there are a few cocktail recipes for this creation, but all tend to have the same ingredients with slightly altered ratios. We love the balance of herbal to vodka against the four ounces of orange juice in this build.
The Harvey Wallbanger
1.5 oz. Vodka (like Prairie Organic Vodka)
4 oz. Fresh Orange Juice (or bottled if you’re lazy)
.5 oz. Galliano (float)
You’ll want to learn the harvey wallbanger cocktail recipe as this is an iconic cocktail recipe that’s well known by both patrons and bartenders themselves. It’s worth a trip down what Antone thought was his own screwdriver creation.
We build our harvey wallbanger cocktail recipe with organic oranges because we wanted to stick with the organic theme against our Prairie Organic Vodka.
