If you’re looking for a cocktail with a bit more dynamic appeal and uniqueness, we’ve come up with a creative little recipe utilizing some top class products. The secret ingredient is Fruit de La Passion which brings a passion fruit flavor which is reflected in our recipe now known as Common Man’s Firey Passion.
The recipe:
Common Man’s Firey Passion
1 oz. Tommy Bahama Golden Sun Rum
1/2 oz. Cruzan Pineapple Rum
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Fruit de la Passion
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
Mix all ingredients in a shaker and shake for 10-seconds, strain and serve.
The cocktail brings a little spicy fire to the tail end of the finish but starts its attack with a passion fruit and pineapple blend. The Tommy Bahama Golden Sun smooths the cocktail along with the beautiful pineapple texture. Its presentation is a dark gold coloring much like dark pineapple juice or extremely ripe pineapple.
While the recipe has very tropical bright flavors, it brings very little in terms of alcoholic attack on the palate. Tommy Bahama hides well in the cocktail and brings out its complex flavors and smooth textures. Fruit de la Passion can be utilized for cooking as an oil, flavoring or flavor a white meat or fish. We’ll stick with cocktails as we’re not very good at cooking!
Give it a try on the 4th of July or tonight if you’re looking to start the party early!
