The Zapatero Drink Recipe | Stirred Cocktails

Today we’re going to show you how to make the Zapatero drink recipe, this little drink brings Mezcal and Bourbon together with…orgeat? And it’s stirred? Yes, you got it.

We’ve never mixed this combination before, it does have some Aztec bitters and angostura bitters too, as a proper stirred drink would have, and isn’t that bad, but it’s also not that exciting…but I guess it depends on what type of excitement you’re looking for in your cocktail drink recipe.

The Zapatero
– 1 1/2 oz Mezcal
– 1/2 oz Bourbon
– 2 tsp Orgeat
– 1 dash Angostura bitters
– 1 dash Fee Brothers Aztec chocolate bitters
– Garnish: cinnamon, freshly grated
– Garnish: cranberry
– Garnish: orange twist

A stirred cocktail that’s designed perhaps to mimic a cold winter tiki style cocktail? It’s got all the telltale remarks such as bitters, orgeat, cinnamon grating and all the fixings.
