The art of stirring isn’t a hard one, but it does still require some practice to get your wrist action working and your arm action locked in. You’ll want to work with some ice and water to get the flow moving, and give you an idea how how long you should be stirring; like, 30 seconds.

Dilution is the key to stirring, it won’t be as much as shaking but it will be enough to keep your drink chill yet retain the same silky texture of a non-shaken drink (lacking all that additional aeration).
