We pulled this off Dale Degroff who always designs drinks worth a taste test. Unlike other seasonal cider drinks we’ve tried, the apple cider tends to dominate and the spices are left flat–the Stone Wall however comes out with just the right zing, just the right apple and still allows your rum to play a part in the drink. The use of both ginger (muddled) and ginger beer gives you a more fresh and authentic zing yet brings the bubbles.

The Stone Wall
– 1 inch piece of fresh ginger (peeled)
– 1 1/2 tsp simple syrup
– 1 1/2 oz aged rum
– 1 1/2 oz apple cider
– 1 1/2 oz chilled ginger beer
– slice of apple and lime wedge garnish

Note quite a moscow mule, better, as it lacks flavorless spirits and brings aged rum into the picture. A worthy contender for your holiday cocktail list, a drink like this for the holidays brings the apple and the spicy zing. But, I bet nobody will complain about a Stone Wall in the summer either. The only problem will be finding your apple cider in the summer.
