How To Make The Hot Toddy

Today we’re going to show you how to make the hot toddy, or hot totty. This warm drink fits the season and can be used to help you with congestion and, as Dan notices, has some potent whiskey notes.

You can get bitters at our store:

There is no one recipe for the Hot Toddy so we used a standardized recipe that you can add and remove from as you wish. You can add bitters, you can add different fruit, more or less honey, and pretty much go wild with your hot toddy design.

This hot toddy is a bit strong so you got that going for you. 3 oz of whiskey with hot water creates a potent little cocktail recipe.

The Hot Toddy
– 1 1/2 cup water
– 3 ounce whiskey
– 4 to 6 teaspoons honey, to taste
– 4 to 6 teaspoons lemon juice, to taste
– 2 lemon round
– 2 cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
