The espresso martini is an easy to make drink for fans of coffee. No doubt one of our favorite all time vodka cocktails, because most cocktails have no business containing vodka (unless you’re just trying to get tipsy). The use of a flavorless spirit within this cocktail allows your espresso to shine without distraction. Although a light rum may work fine as well, given it will not contribute too much to the flavor… we gotta give vodka at least one drink to be the winner!

The Espresso Martini
– 2 oz vodka
– 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
– 1 oz Freshly Brewed Espresso or Cold Brew Concentrate
– 1/2 oz simple syrup

We used cold brew for this espresso martini cocktail because it allowed us to bring out a richer concentrated flavor without the use of an espresso machine. We’ve also done it with standard coffee as well, but if you want the bright bitter bean action to take effect and balance out the use of a sweeter coffee liqueur, cold brew or espresso may be the best bet.

Easy to build out, fun to create and a dramatic lack of complicated ingredients make this a cocktail worth trying for coffee drinkers around the world.
