Gleaming the Ice Cube, a recipe submission but Curtis McMillan, one of our long time fans of the show turned co-host. Curtis creates a drink that takes bitters out of the “dashes” and into a traditional ingredient, yet keeps this drink well balanced and easy to consume.
Of course, it’s not for everyone, while Ian and Derrick liked it, Jen was not a fan–perhaps the ingredients just didn’t work for her. But, if you like bourbon and bitters, you’ll probably find this drink fits your needs, while highlighting each ingredient independently yet cohesively.

- 1 oz. Lemon Juice
- 1/4 oz. Bourbon
- 1/4 oz. Demerara Syrup
- 1/2 oz. Sparkling Pompelmo Water
- 1/4 oz. Angostura Bitters
