Today we’re going to taste test a gin martini both shaken and stirred to see if there is indeed a difference. Derrick preaches the difference, Ian calls B.S. So let’s do the work.
The theory here is all about understanding “top notes” of a spirit. It is said that when you shake a delicate spirit like gin. The top notes are those floral notes that people typically love in their gins. So, by shaking them we should lose those, but can you tell?

2 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1 Dash Orange Bitters
